Our latest event a melee in memory of Richard Hunter, a well known and popular pétanque player from the New Forest League and particularly from Seahorses and Parley Pétanque Clubs, raised over £215 for the charity HASAG. Thank you all for remembering Richard and for making the day such a success ... see you next year!
HASAG helps people suffering from Mesothelioma from across the whole of the South of England fundraising and campaigning for more research and better treatment and care.
Forty people supported us on the day with the winner being one of our own. Jenny O'Sullivan had only been playing Petanque for just over a year but managed to win with 3 wins and +36 points. Well done Jenny.
A big thank you also goes to those who supported us from other clubs and to those who just visited to show support. Again we appreciate the hard work work of those who helped arrange the event and of course to whoever gave us such great weather.
Special mention goes to Ray Stanton and Pete Wilcox who took second and third prizes. Finally well done Paul who having taken the wooden spoon with Sheila during the day came back to win the shooting competition from Colin Johnson. Well done guys.
