  • How did Pétanque begin?
    Although target ball games have been played since the Egyptians, the French game of boule, called Pétanque was born in the south of France in the early 20th century and is now played everywhere in the world. Find more information click here
  • I have never played before, am I too old?"
    You are never too old. Age is not a problem.
  • Do I have to play in competitions?
    There is no pressure to join league teams. However, after some practice and experience you might enjoy more competitive matches. The decision is yours.
  • I have no equipment what do I need?
    We can provide boule to get you going but you will need to wear comfortable shoes. Sandals and flip-flops are not acceptable for safety reasons.
  • Can I come and just have a go to see if I like it?
    Yes, we offer you the opportunity of finding out if Pétanque is for you with three free sessions, after that you can play on a 'pay and play basis' or pay the annual subscription of £20.
  • How do I join?
    Download a club membership form, complete it and return it to our club secretary. Click on the icon below to download.
  • How do you use my data?
